ACTIVITY: Arran Access Trust wanted to improve access on the Lower Goatfell/Corrie/Brodick path. The project involves surfacing on some sections of the paths, installing water control measures such as water bars and cross drains, repairing eroded path sides and cutting back vegetation where necessary.
OUTCOME: The project will benefit the c20000 users of the Lower Goatfell path and c12000 users of the Corrie path including walkers on the Arran Coastal Way (one of Scottish Great Trails), and the Arran Trust awarded £10,000 to this project. Photo shows erosion beforehand.
