Arran Blooms

ACTIVITY

Arran Community Council co-ordinated a bid to the Arran Trust to enable purchase of flowering plants for tubs and flower beds in every village. These had formerly been managed by the local authority.

OUTCOME

Community groups continue to provide a colourful display around the various villages utilising flower beds and tubs which would otherwise have been removed and potentially destroyed. Tubs are planted with spring bulbs, and when these have bloomed the bulbs are removed and stored for future use. The tubs are then replanted with bedding plants.
